September RAFT Field Day: Compton Creek & Long Beach

Join our River Assessment Field Team for the last field day of the season! Join LA Waterkeeper staff and practice your community science skills as we learn and explore two sites within the lower LA River. 

Volunteers will learn about LA River's history and current challenges,and use field kits to determine the river's health and biodiversity! We'll meet at our first location - Comtpon Creek, and caravan to our second location, the LA River near Willow St.

Volunteers are required to provide their own transportation to each field location, which is approximately a 10 min drive.
