A recent law school graduate but longtime environmental advocate, Justin has been interested in water resource issues for many years. Prior to receiving his JD from the UCLA School of Law, Justin studied water policy and natural resource economics at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara, where he obtained his Master of Environmental Science and Management (MESM). Prior to that, he received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Davis. He is excited to have the opportunity to join LA Waterkeeper as a law fellow and help fight to protect Los Angeles’ waterways and coastlines from environmental harms.

During law school, Justin participated in numerous legal clinics and externships, working for the California Office of the Attorney General (Environment Section), the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at UCLA School of Law. He has contributed to cases and helped address issues involving plastic contamination of California’s waterways, water resource allocation and usage restrictions during drought emergencies, and environmental impacts to under-resourced communities.
