Zoe Vanderschmidt

Zoe has been deeply interested in environmental issues and their intersection with social justice since high school. After graduating from NYU with a BA in psychology, she enjoyed working for several years in community mental health, but then decided to refocus her career on the environmental field. She has been especially interested in climate solutions given the urgency of the climate crisis.

Striving to learn as much as possible about green technology and activism, Zoe has worked and volunteered with climate advocacy nonprofits, solar and sustainability consulting firms, and a range of other organizations. A lifelong beach-lover, she is thrilled to take the next step of her professional journey as the LA Waterkeeper Executive Assistant.

When she is not supporting the talented LA Waterkeeper team, Zoe is probably eating dark chocolate, listening to psychology podcasts, or working on her toddler-level Tagalog.
